Powder Room Design Ideas
We’re about a month away from wrapping up our 570 Yardarm project in Longboat Key, and like with our previous project, I want to share with you some of our design ideas, beginning with the powder bath.
Our goal was to have a space that was sophisticated, yet light and airy feeling. As with most of our design projects, the process begins by gathering home design inspiration images from websites like Houzz and Pinterest. Here is our home inspiration photo for the powder bath.
The next step was to copy the look. Here are some design elements we used to mimic the design from Houzz.
- Vessel Sink: Kohler Vox
- Sink Faucet: Kraus
- Towel Bar: Delta Trinsic
- Toilet Paper Holder: Delta Trinsic
- Artwork (vertical): Amazon
- Artwork (horizontal): Amazon
- Black Vase: Amazon
- Candle Stick Holders: Amazon
- Paint Color from Benjamin Moore: Cape May Cobblestone
- Tile Floors from Your Flooring Warehouse: Happy Floors Alpi Bianco
- Wall Tile from Your Flooring Warehouse: Upa Pearla
- LED Mirror: Light Works, can also be purchaed on Amazon

One of my favorite selections for the powder bath is the TEXTURED WALL TILE.
I love textured wall tile and think it’s a great example of how you can create drama in a small room with just the right design element. It’s a subtle look that lets the wall take center stage. Add some champagne gold fixtures for an elegant touch that feels upscale without going overboard.
For me, textured tile is like a piece of art, so needless to say, I have incorporated General Upa Pearla from Your Flooring Warehouse into our powder bath.
Our goal was for the powder bath to look inviting, but not overdone. We wanted our design to feel timeless, so we chose fixtures that could work for almost any buyer.

The neutral color tones allow for a lot of flexibility in how it’s decorated. Black accessories make sense with the design, but you could also go with different design elements and colors.
